don’t die

May 21, 2012

dreams don’t die; it’s just that we have grown to tend to other people more and we’ve acquired diversions ever so often that we slowly set them aside without our full awareness.

dreams don’t die; it’s just that sometimes we think they’r too ambitious or that we’re being impractical that we abandon the idea of trying while we have the energy.

dreams don’t die; it’s just that over time we’ve arranged and re-arranged our priorities that they’ve been pushed at the bottom of our to-do lists.

but they’re still there, waiting in the recesses of our subconscious selves, haunting us through waves of unexplained sadness, tirelessly persisting to exist even when we’ve repeatedly tried to shut them off.

dreams don’t die; we just think we don’t have enough time.
dreams don’t die–we just think we’re not worth it.
